2026 Family Fun Run

Oak Harbor Educational Foundation hosted our first ever Family Fun Run for Education on May 30. The event brought together 140 runners, over 20 volunteers, and an opportunity for OHEF to share more about our who we are through our emcee, Russ Peters!

The Family Fun Run included a 5K route along the waterfront, a 1-mile student run, and a 1/2-mile student run! For added fun, runners were encouraged to dress in 80s decade attire.

Events like these take a lot of help. We want to give a huge shout out to all of the individual volunteers and those from Oak Harbor High School National Honor Society, Whidbey Royalty, NJROTC, and Oak Harbor Fire Department. Oak Harbor Elementary was the school with the most participants and the winner of our popsicle party. The OHEF board of directors and volunteers handed out popsicles to students at their school to celebrate.
